This is a short-module focused on an NPC, a quest-giver. In their search for job opportunities, renown, and glory, the characters gravitate toward influential people and beings. These quest-givers are the door to amazing adventures. In the depths of Grayscale Forest awaits a strange and perilous being. Avaghi, the Gorgon, with the body of a woman but dozens of slithering vipers as hair. Her gaze, legend has it, can turn a person to stone for eternity. She dwells in the Stony Grove, where trees too have been turned to stone. Avaghi is a warden of arcane secrets and the antidote to reverse petrification. Those seeking either must strike a deal with the gorgon to achieve their goals.
